New No Code Interests

With the collapse of the "code requirement", many are now considering a step up to General. And even more non-hams are contemplating the big switch from the dark side. I have been inundated with questions from local CBer's expressing their curiosity and quickly warming interest in amateur radio. "How ya gonna keep out the riff raff now?" they ask sarcastically. I explain, that it is never the intention of the radio operator to bar the door to any that are interested in the craft. And that the "code requirement" was an FCC imposed criteria. I further explain, that I have the upmost confidence that the FCC (being a government agency), will find a way.
